Photo Paperweight

Creating a stunning and sentimental photo paperweight is a fresh way to put a messy desk in order. Along with using it to give a new look to your desk; a photo paper weight can be used by you to show off your loved ones, friends, pets and others whom you care about. If you will be using a printed picture, copy any of your favorite pictures and print it out from your computer. Then, take the blank globe paper weight and put it in the center of the picture which you have printed.

Next, encircle the part of the photograph which contains the person whom you will place in the photo paper weight. Trace around the subject and cut the photo a little smaller than the area which you have circled to make sure the photo will fit perfectly inside the photo paper weight.

The next step would be to apply a little amount of glue to the bottom of the photo paper weight and glue the picture on. Make sure that the picture has the photo side up before you actually paste it onto the bottom of the paper weight! Spread another layer of glue across the back of the picture and remove any excess with the small brush. Starting at the center of the picture would help as you would then be able to remove air bubbles, if any.

Next all that is left to do is to let your photo paper weight to dry and then it’s ready to place on your desk!

When making a photo paper weight on your own, you can even add some shells or beads to the outside edges of your photo paper weight to give it a special touch. One thing you must remember when making a photo paper weight is that you need to wear gloves to keep the glue from sticking to your hands!
